Tech Pebbles: SkyDrive - Configuring and Using

Microsoft SkyDrive : This is a password-protected online file storage which is always available whereever and whenever you need it. Lets drill down a bit before seeing how to make use of it. Just a few lines.. I won't bore you more on this for sure.. :-)
Highlights :
1. Five GB of free online storage, available from any computer with Internet access.
2. Add new folders, rename them, or change who has access at any time. For each folder thats created, you have the options to choose who has the right to access it.
3. Create personal, shared, and public folders -- you decide who has access to each folder.
What do you need to use this amazing storage :
You got to have a Windows Live ID and you are in charge of Windows Live SkyDrive.

How to use it :

1. Go the above mentioned site and click on Get Started.

2. When asked for Windows Live ID, if you have one, type in there or else go ahead and create a new one.

3. This will take you to your homepage where you can play around a bit. The Homepage looks something like this :

4. Now try to create a new folder and add few files to your folder. Its so simple and effective.

5. You also have an upload tool available, which when installed, will make you uploads much easier and faster.

6. Now you can share the files with your friends or protect your files .. etc.. what all you can think of doing with a folder.
